I haven’t done a TCA peel in a few years. I have done several in the past though, and every one I bought was from MakeupArtistsChoice.com. This one is their 24% TCA peel (they no longer sell it – though they sell other ones). I worked my way up, starting with their lowest percentage, then one a little higher and now this one. I also do other peels on and off and my skin seems to tolerate them quite well. Even with all of that said, you never know exactly what is going to happen with a TCA peel – so it’s extremely important to be prepared for every type of scenario and stay calm as you go through the process. It’s also important to read all the instructions and follow them precisely. Whatever you decide to do, do so at your own risk. I noticed on Amazon that some companies are selling 100% TCA – please stay far, far away from anything like that. That is insanely strong and will scar you.

Lastly, I did a couple of things that aren’t always recommended – though I do know that some professionals do the peels this way. I did a semi-mild peel before the peel (you will see in the video) and I also put retinol on my face a few hours after the peel (when the redness subsided) and I left it on for an hour or two. Not everyone should do this. I just wanted to share what I did. I did this so that the peeling would happen a bit faster. I did end up peeling quickly (meaning – it started on day 3 instead of days later). Also, in the future I am going to try the TCA peel from Platinum Skincare, as it’s been highly recommended to me on my youtube channel and I think I need something that works a bit better than this one did.
