I’ve been writing poetry since I was six. It’s always been a way for me to express and process my deepest thoughts, and until now, I’ve only shared it with a few close friends. I’m sharing some of it here for anyone who might enjoy it.

I Question It All
Written April 4, 2015
I question it all,
inside and out
here and there
who and why
which
or where.
I get lost,
inside and out
heart tethered
to this body
and mind trying
to rewind
or be present
in this time.
My heart wrestles
pulls away
attempting to be
just as it is
or was
or longs for
freedom
from this war.
Oh logical mind
trying
so intently
to box it all
up and around
perfectly bound.
Breaking away
from
the torturous
battle
of myself –
allowing
to be,
to love & live
without restraint
fully,
&
free.

Deep and thought provoking. It’s an insight into your mind. Life is for living, too often we hesitate through fear of the unknown.
She is who she seems to be…
