I wrote these poems throughout the years. Poetry has been an outlet for me, ever since I wrote my first poem around the age of 6. I picked out a few poems to share here. I hope you get something
out of them. Though I have many more poems, these are just a few that I felt inspired to share here. There is no deep alternate meaning or reason for choosing these ones. They are just the ones I felt compelled to share right now.

Words to the wind,
here I begin.
Wash away,
sweep and hide.
Another day,
another tide.
Why wonder,
or believe,
Spoken words –
which deceive.
I walk away,
into the clouds.
There I stay,
content and proud.
I softly lay,
upon the day.
Blanket to the Earth –
these words I pray.
Fly away through the grey.
Swim upon the words I say.
Freedom waits.
(This poem was written for a college art class. The class assignment was to write a free-flowing, intuitive poem to express oneself very quickly)

I question it all,
inside and out
here and there
who and why
which
or where.
I get lost,
inside and out
heart tethered
to this body
and mind trying
to rewind
or be present
in this time.
My heart wrestles
pulls away
attempting to be
just as it is
or was
or longs for
freedom
from this war.
Oh logical mind
trying
so intently
to box it all
up and around
perfectly bound.
Breaking away
from
the torturous
battle
of myself –
allowing
to be,
to love & live
without restraint
fully,
&
free.

80 Summers,
to bask under the sun.
Experience,
before all is undone.
Limits of life,
are to open your eyes.
To let you see,
beyond your current dreams.
Breathe in the day,
soak in the rays.
Listen to the rustle,
watch the tree sway.
Passion for life and love,
for everyone.
Be who you are again,
a single day.
For a single day now,
forget your pain.
Free yourself from life’s strains,
and let now reign.
Now is the time to live,
experience.
Take in this abundance,
it’s not by chance.
You have this precious life,
this time is yours.
Have passion once again,
do not contain.
Let it pulse through your veins,
be as it may.
Freedom through all the pain,
is yours to gain.
80 Summers,
may they be,
80 Summers,
that set you free.
Deep and thought provoking. It’s an insight into your mind. Life is for living, too often we hesitate through fear of the unknown.
She is who she seems to be…
